Fork Lift Operator/Class 2 Driver

Manx Independent Carriers are looking for a Forklift Truck Driver/Yard Operative/Class 2 Driver to join our team. This role will be mainly warehouse based unloading trailers and then loading delivery vehicles by fork truck.
If necessary, you may be required to deliver goods on a class 2 vehicle.
You will be responsible for the following tasks :-
-Ensuring a safe working area at all times.
-Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping within all yard and storage areas as well as in the vehicle.
-Remove Pallets from Trailers arriving in our Warehouse.
-Ensuring the correct and safe storage of pallets.
-Support other team members as required once duties are complete and in order.
-Skilled and proficient at entering and verifying data and maintaining necessary driver records.
-Fork Lift Truck and other truck related qualifications are desirable but refresher training can be given.
-Self-motivated, proactive individual.
-Full flexibility with working hours, willing to work some weekends on an overtime basis.
-Capable of working in a pressurised environment.
-Adaptable and a good team player with demonstrable skills.
-Able to build and maintain effective working relationships.
-Able to effectively communicate with team members.
-Enquiring mind, willingness to adopt new approaches.
As an employee of Manx Independent Carriers, you will be eligible to join our pension scheme after successfully completing your probation period. In addition to this you will receive 20 days annual holidays initially to increase every 2 years as a long service bonus.
