TEAM LEADER ROLE

Premium Care expect the Team Leader to give their personal best and strive for continuous improvement to ensure the highest standard of person-centered care and services are delivered at all times.
The main requirements of a Team Leader are:
To be responsible for the well-being i.e. the physical, emotional and social needs of all clients, in a caring, kind and respectful manner, preserving dignity and self-respect at all times and liaising with managers and the directors of Premium Care.
To assist Premium Care to plan and monitor care and to take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the team they are responsible for.
To assist in maintaining and developing accurate and robust records according to the requirements of the Registration and Inspection and Legal requirements with the support of the main office.
To be responsible for ensuring Health and Safety legislation is in place and being adhered to at all times.
To carry out a rigorous risk assessment of a client's environment to ensure the Health and Safety of clients and their care workers is not compromised.
To be involved in, write, determine and verify client's Plans of Care. Carrying out annual reviews of the Plan of Care alongside, liaising with the CARE MANAGER.
To provide the highest standards of holistic care for all clients as per their Plan of Care.
To help provide essential, physical and mental stimulation for individual clients by participating in recreational and social activities.
To provide advice and support to care support workers either in person or by telephone, appropriate to the circumstances during work hours.
To be involved in and responsible for the safe administration of medication.
To assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
To report to the management of Premium Care any bad care practice or harm to a client, either directly observed or from information received.
To contribute to care worker support and supervision and identifying training needs with the support of the office.
To ensure Premium Care's policy on Confidentiality is upheld.
To comply with written and verbally agreed Terms and Conditions Contract including following the Carer Code of Conduct.
To ensure the efficient running of the team rota.
Should sickness or unexpected absence occur within the team, to work effectively with the on-call team to arrange cover. Should cover not be obtained by a member of the team, where possible arrange to cover the shift yourself.
