Bradda View Nursing & Residential Home are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse to join the team, to be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents, in-line with the highest regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Deputy/Registered Manager, you will also be responsible for overseeing the care provided by our Health Care Assistants.
Key Responsibilities include:
Assess residents by discussing with them regarding their mental health issues/dementia complexities, and draw up the best possible care plan to accommodate their needs.
Build a robust and excellent relationship with residents and their families, by building trust.
Listen to residents' needs and interpret them accurately.
Provide treatments to residents and ensure medications are correctly administered.
Work to understand the source(s) of residents' disorders.
Assist residents to overcome their mental health problems.
Assist residents to cope or manage their emotions effectively.
Conduct one-to-one therapy sessions, or group sessions, with residents.
Prepare residents' records and maintain records efficiently.
Monitor residents' progress with their families.
Ensure the coordination of all related mental health services.
