Support Worker | Balleysleih Day Centre | Isle of Man

Key Accountabilities:
Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, which may include assistance with domestic, social skills, and personal care.
Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programs.
Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving conflicts or challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques and language.
Ensure that medication is stored and administered according to Praxis Care’s Medication Policy when necessary.
Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, accurately recording and logging important information per reporting guidelines.
Stay informed about all policies and procedures within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring participation in all related training.
Requirements of the Role:
Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
Full valid driving license and access to own vehicle (If a disability precludes an individual from holding a driver’s license, they should state how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post).
Model the company values, behaviors, and competencies at all times.
Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
Be willing to take on additional responsibilities and duties as required.
Work necessary hours to meet the needs of the service.
