Isle of Man Post Office is seeking to recruit temporary Full-Time Post Persons at our Douglas Sorting Office on a limited term basis for 12 months. The working pattern for these roles is 82 hours per fortnight (35hrs/47hrs) with attendance required every other weekend Saturday (7hrs) and Sunday (5hrs), effectively 12 days on 2 days off.
Full training will be offered to the successful candidate.
We are looking for someone who has: good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, flexibility, self-motivation and shows initiative, the ability to work quickly and accurately. The possession of a full manual driving licence is essential (not on R plates).
The role involves: driving an IOMPO vehicle, loading and unloading vehicles, lifting and transporting mail items up to 30kg, collecting, sorting preparing and delivering mail, use of a PDA to scan items accurately.
Hourly rate: £13.67.
