Head of Operations – AI Systems & Compute Infrastructure

The role will oversee end-to-end operations across software deployment pipelines, custom AI compute hardware
environments, lead the integration of AI systems, software stacks, and physical infrastructure to maximise
performance per watt and coordinate cross-functional teams spanning AI engineering, systems design, and
infrastructure support.
It will require AI compute & hardware oversight, guiding the design, implementation, and monitoring of highperformance,
multi-GPU distributed inference systems. Work closely with hardware engineers to prototype and
validate energy-efficient compute systems, including renewable/off-grid setups and lead on energy-aware
engineering, including hardware-level performance tuning, power profiling, and resource optimisation.
The role reports directly to the executive team on infrastructure performance, operational risk, and efficiency gains.
Acting as a key liaison between AI researchers, software engineers, and systems architects and will drive continuous
improvement by adopting new technologies, frameworks, and workflows.
Advanced knowledge and experience in cooling system design, electrical and HVAC engineering along with supply
chain management is essential.
