Our client is seeking an IT Developer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong coding background as the role requires you to help maintain and support the existing software as well as learn to analyse, develop and test new applications using the appropriate processes, methods and standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design, development, testing, and deployment of in-house applications and digital mapping solutions. Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft Platform solutions. Assist in the design, development, testing and deployment of API integrations. Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and adhere to governance and best practices. Document technical specifications, user guides, and other project materials as needed. Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Achieve agreed objectives effectively within specified timescales. Participating in a weekly IT standby Rota as required. Ensure health, safety and wellbeing is a priority in all that you do. Undertake such training as necessary to allow for job progression. Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager. Key Skills & Experience: ESRI/ArcGIS GIS mapping and coding (Python/Arcade) experience (desirable not essential). Strong aptitude and desire to learn new products and programming languages, as well as demonstrate an eagerness to learn and develop within a collaborative environment. Strong customer service orientation and experience in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Familiarity with relational databases and data modelling concepts. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good organisational skills and ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail. Positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement. Highly self-motivated and the ability to work with minimum supervision using own initiative. Ability to drive, or willing to work towards learning to drive a motor vehicle.
