Group Financial Controller

Our client seeks a Group Financial Controller to join their team on a Fixed-term 9 to 12 months (Maternity Cover). As an experienced and detail-oriented accountant you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting strategic financial planning. Key Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition. Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports. Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards. Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate service providers. Manage a team Take care of collection. Maintain relationships with banks. Provide financial insight and support to management for strategic decision-making. Oversee financial systems and recommend improvements where necessary. Support the finance team and ensure a smooth handover during and after the maternity cover period. Key Skills and Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial controller or senior finance role. Experience in digital marketing, media, or iGaming industries is an advantage. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and maintain high levels of accuracy under pressure.
