Role Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards, and driving culinary creativity. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily kitchen operations and deputise for the Head Chef when required, Collaborate on seasonal menu development, showcasing local seafood and produce, Maintain accurate menu costing and contribute to budgeting and profitability, Oversee stock management, supplier ordering, and inventory control, Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a culture of growth and excellence, Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations, Contribute to specials, tasting menus, and private event offerings.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ready to step up, Expertise in seafood preparation and seasonal cooking, Strong leadership and communication skills, Proficiency in kitchen management, stock control, and costing, Calm under pressure, with excellent time management, Food hygiene certification and understanding of HACCP, Passion for sustainability and local sourcing.
