We are looking for a proactive Accounts Administrator to join our team in an office-based role only. This is a fast-paced and pressured position where priorities can change quickly, so flexibility and strong organisational skills are essential. You will be responsible for a wide range of finance and office tasks, including generating and issuing sales invoices, customer statements and payment reminders, monitoring outstanding debts, assisting with the collection of overdue payments, escalating non-payment to the Credit Manager when required, and ensuring customer payment plans are adhered to. The role also involves placing non-paying accounts on hold to protect revenue and cash flow, processing and recording deposits and final payments with accuracy, conducting initial credit checks on new customers, and keeping billing addresses, contact details and credit terms up to date. You will assist with customer quotations and order confirmations, issue final invoices in coordination with the sales and finance teams, support new customer on-boarding by ensuring all documentation and processes are completed correctly, and provide wider support across other finance functions. Acting as the first point of contact for incoming calls, emails and correspondence, you will handle customer, supplier and internal queries in a professional and timely manner while helping maintain accurate internal spreadsheets and ensuring efficient financial workflows. Applicants must have GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, experience in finance, credit control or accounts administration, and good IT skills, particularly in Excel and Outlook. An AAT Level 2 qualification (or working towards it), experience with Sage, Xero or QuickBooks, and knowledge of purchase ledger processes are desirable. If you thrive in a busy environment, can adapt to shifting priorities, and are confident working in the office every day, please apply by sending your CV to debra.spence@valencia.co.uk
