Part-Time Maintenance Person (Saturday Mornings)

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Part-Time Maintenance Person to join our team at Victoria House Nursery. This role is ideal for a tradesperson or experienced all-rounder looking to earn extra money with consistent, flexible weekend work.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for keeping our nursery in great condition by tackling a wide variety of jobs, including:
Joinery and minor carpentry repairs.
Painting and decorating.
General maintenance and odd jobs across the nursery buildings and outdoor areas.
Each week, you’ll be given a list of tasks to complete, helping to ensure our nursery remains a safe, welcoming, and well-kept environment for the children, families, and staff who use it every day.
What We’re Looking For:
We need someone who is:
Trustworthy, dependable, and loyal.
Practical, hardworking, and proactive.
Experienced in a range of maintenance skills (joinery, painting, DIY, general repairs).
Able to manage tasks independently and take pride in their work.
Hours & Pay:
Saturday mornings, 8am–12pm (flexible).
Additional hours may be available from time to time.
Competitive hourly rate depending on experience.
Safeguarding:
As we work with children, an Enhanced DBS check is required for this role (undertaken before starting).
This role would particularly suit someone already working in the trades who is looking for a regular, part-time position to supplement their income.
