What you’ll be doing:

You will lead the management accounting function, providing strategic financial insight, robust reporting, and decision support to senior leadership. The Management Accountant will ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to drive financial efficiency and support business growth. Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Assist with developing and maintaining financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
Provide detailed variance analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders.
Management of Framework fee requirements.
Management of payroll process with HR and external payroll provider.
Submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Partner with department heads to support financial decision-making and cost control.
Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Manage and mentor junior finance staff.
Liaise with external auditors and support year-end processes.
Support the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance on ad hoc projects.
Continuously improve financial systems and reporting tools.


Qualifications & Experience:

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (Part Qualified with relevant experience will be considered).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
Strong understanding of management accounts and financial reporting.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Xero a plus.
Proven ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience in mentoring finance team members.

Desirable:

Experience in Health or Medical Tech.
Familiarity with financial reporting standards (IFRS/UK GAAP) – specifically FRS102 Share Options and Lease accounting.

Predominantly Remote based - with some travel within the Isle of Man plus occasional travel to London.
