Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:
The role involves assisting in the development and implementation of a group-wide monitoring and testing framework across multiple regulated B2C and B2B gaming operators, as well as carrying out compliance monitoring and testing on first line of defense activities such as player and operator onboarding, screening, risk assessments, and customer due diligence. In addition, the position provides cover and support to the Compliance Team during absences, illness, or periods of high workload, including reporting deadlines and large client onboarding. The role also includes supporting the development of policies, procedures, system controls, and training programmes, contributing to group reporting, risk management exercises, and regulator requests, and assisting with ad-hoc tasks related to licensing, audits, and thematic reviews.

Requirements/Experience:
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar role within a regulated entity, such as the IoM FSA or IoM GSC, and possess solid knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, due diligence, enhanced due diligence, and sanctions and PEP screening. Knowledge of online gambling regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including Curacao, the Isle of Man, and the UK, as well as an understanding of data protection and safer gambling requirements, would be advantageous. The role requires a proactive, helpful, and goal-oriented individual who can handle confidential and sensitive information professionally, adapt to a dynamic environment with flexibility and resilience, and communicate effectively across all levels and jurisdictions. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently as a self-starter, and effective collaboration with remote team members are essential, along with excellent time and task management and problem-solving abilities. An ICA certification in Financial Crime Prevention, AML, or an equivalent qualification would be desirable.
