Multi Skilled Installation Engineer

We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer with strong practical experience in electrical installation, plumbing, and air conditioning systems to join our Isle of Man–based team.
This role is ideal for someone with broad trade experience who can carry out varied installation, maintenance, and repair work across commercial, industrial, and renewable energy projects — including data centre environments.
You don’t need to be fully certified in every trade, but you must be competent, safety-conscious, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Installation.
Install and assist with containment systems, wiring, lighting, and socket outlets.
Connect equipment such as pumps, fans, heaters, and HVAC units.
Carry out basic testing, inspections, and fault-finding on low-voltage circuits.
Work in accordance with BS 7671 wiring regulations under supervision where required.
Plumbing & Pipework.
Install and maintain water, waste, and heating systems in both domestic and light industrial settings.
Fit valves, pumps, and fixtures, and assist with hot and cold-water distribution.
Pressure-test systems and repair leaks efficiently.
Work with copper, plastic, and flexible piping systems.
Air Conditioning & HVAC.
Install, maintain, and service split systems and small VRF/VRV units.
Assist with refrigerant pipework, insulation, and condensate routing.
Carry out filter changes, cleaning, and performance checks.
Support energy-efficient installations involving heat pumps or hybrid systems.
General Site Work.
Read and interpret layout drawings and wiring schematics.
Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe workspace.
Liaise with other engineers and contractors to deliver coordinated installations.
Assist with tool upkeep, materials handling, and stock management.
Complete basic reports or job sheets for completed work.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, or air conditioning installation (2+ years preferred).
Understanding of electrical safety, water systems, and refrigerant handling.
Proficient with hand and power tools.
Ability to follow technical drawings and work accurately to spec.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safe working practices.
Qualifications (UK / Isle of Man–Applicable):
City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in one or more of the following:
Electrical Installation (e.g. 2365, 5357, or equivalent).
Plumbing & Heating.
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
F-Gas Category 2 or above (advantageous but not essential).
ECS / CSCS card or Isle of Man equivalent desirable.
Full UK or Isle of Man driving licence required.
Health & Safety / Manual Handling certificates (advantageous).
