Senior Accountant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounts Department. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, manage a diverse client portfolio, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes. Duties include but are not limited to:

Collaborate within a team to manage a portfolio of clients.
Supervise and support additional team members as required.
Prepare and review financial statements for small and medium sized entities in accordance with FRS 102 Section 1A.
Oversee bookkeeping for client structures.
Ensure timely delivery of financial statements to clients.
Respond to client queries regarding financial statements.
Prepare and review management accounts.
Prepare and/or review VAT returns for client structures.
Support UK/IOM statutory reporting requirements.
Constructively challenge existing systems and procedures, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and enhance client experience.
Undertake additional duties or projects as required.

Experience and Knowledge:
Proven accounting experience at a senior level in preparing accounts from source records is essential.
Ability to manage and actively prioritise workload is essential.
Experience of managing multiple stakeholder relationships is essential.
Experience of working with owner-managed businesses is preferred but not essential.
Understanding of Isle of Man Tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential.
Understanding of UK tax legislation and systems is preferred but not essential.
Experience with CCH and QuickBooks Online is preferred but not essential.
