Senior Legal Counsel

As Senior Legal Counsel, reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will play a key role in a fast-paced and evolving organisation, contributing directly to legal strategy, governance, and compliance across the business. This is a broad, senior position offering significant exposure to complex legal matters and the opportunity to influence decision-making at executive and board level.
In this role, you will lead a wide range of legal work spanning corporate, commercial, intellectual property, and regulatory matters. You will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex and high-value agreements, including service, supplier, and marketing contracts, while proactively identifying and managing legal risk across the organisation. You will implement appropriate controls to mitigate risk and ensure the business operates within a robust legal framework.
You will manage relationships with external counsel, including commissioning and implementing legal opinions on regulatory matters, and will oversee legal disputes. Coordinating closely with external advisors and preparing case materials as required. A key part of the role involves supporting product development initiatives, advising on intellectual property, consumer rights, and regulatory considerations.
Working closely with compliance and data protection teams, you'll provide legal input on matters requiring cross-functional collaboration.
The role requires ongoing legal research and analysis.
We are seeking a qualified solicitor (UK or equivalent) with approx 7-10 years post qualification experience, including in house exposure. Ideally within technology, gaming or digital sectors.
You'll have a proven track record of operating at a senior level, influencing executive teams and board members, and advising across commercial, regulatory, IP, data protection and corporate matters.
