Fire Stopper / Insulation Technician

To install and maintain fire stopping systems and materials to ensure passive fire protection in buildings is up to current building regulations and fire safety standard Install fire-stopping systems including penetration seals, linear gap seals, cavity barriers, and fire-rated duct and cable protection systems.
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to fire protection. Work with various fire-stopping materials (intumescent sealants, fire boards, fire pillows, compartment insulation). Ensure all installations comply with relevant British Standards, manufacturer guidelines and fire safety regulations.
Record and document all work with before-and-after photos and compliance forms for QA/QC purposes. NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Passive Fire Protection preferred although not essential as further training will be provided to the successful applicant. Application forms can be downloaded from our website.
