Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Crime Specialist to undertake R16 (DMLRO) Controlled Function responsibilities within a regulated financial services environment.
This role will focus on leading AML/CFT, sanctions and fraud risk management, overseeing the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports, interpreting regulatory change, and maintaining a robust, proportionate financial crime framework across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact with regulators, law enforcement and internal stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise and contributing to Board-level reporting.
The successful candidate will have:
Strong knowledge of AML/CFT and financial crime regulations.
2–5+ years’ experience in a senior financial crime role (R16 approval desirable).
Experience within multi-jurisdictional financial services (life or investments advantageous).
Excellent communication, judgement and stakeholder management skills.
A relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA) or willingness to work towards one.
