Our client seeks a Part time Sessional Lecturer in Photography & Graphics to assist their team on a temporary contract (14 hours a week). Role Profile: You will primarily be concerned with the lecturing, assessment, and administration of range of Further and Higher Education courses. Subjects taught may span a range of academic, technical or vocational qualifications and short courses. Key Responsibilities: Teaching a range of subjects in FE and/or HE. Adapting strategies in order to meet the differing needs of students. Assessment of students' work in accordance with awarding body requirements. Ensuring that quality assurance processes are carried out in accordance with procedures and awarding body requirements. Development of up-to-date and innovative schemes of work, lesson and assessment plans. Maintaining accurate records of student attendance. End of academic year administration. Preparation and submission of students' assessments. Maintaining necessary documentation for internal and external verification purposes. Support the students to adapt and thrive and to reach their full potential. Being sensitive to problems that may arise in areas of background, study, motivation and progress and to support individual students appropriately as the need arises. Promoting positive behaviour in accordance with policies. Contributing to quality improvement plans as directed. Key Skills and Experience: Essential - Degree or equivalent qualification in Photography / Graphic Design / 3D. GCSEs at grade C (4) or above in English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent qualifications such as level 2 Functional Skills English and Mathematics. Successful experience of working in the relevant industry. A strong working knowledge of the relevant industry. Effective digital literacy and administrative skills. Desirable - A recognised teaching qualification. Successful teaching, lecturing or training experience. Curriculum development of vocational programmes. Evidence of continuous professional development. Experience of quality assurance processes and procedures. Working with young people. An understanding of curriculum initiatives in FE and/or HE in relation to the subject area. An understanding of the nature and ethos of vocational education and training.
