Compliance Officer

Our client seeks a Compliance Officer to join their team. Role Profile: You will support and assist the Head of Compliance in relation to all compliance matters within the business. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Head of Compliance to ensure the day to day operations of the business are in line with the operational and compliance procedures for the firm, Ensure all corporate governance policies, manuals and procedures are fully documented and appropriate based on the company & risk profiles. Reviewing as required to ensure they remain up to date with all regulatory updates. Keep up to date with IOM law, regulations and guidelines which might impact on the company. Establish and action internal compliance monitoring plans. Ensure all appropriate registers are maintained and reviewed. Manage, review and sign off on customer and intermediary due diligence. Ensure all procedures are up to date including complaints, whistleblowing etc. Involvement on any ad hoc special projects as required, Assist with staff training including for AML/CFT Key Skills & Experience. In depth knowledge of FSA regulations for Class 4 and 5 licence holder. Some Class 3 knowledge would also be an advantage. Ability to be able to instill a strong compliance culture within the Company An understanding of the risks facing the business and an understanding and ability to tailor the company & procedural controls to adequately cover the risk profiles without being unnecessarily onerous. Attention to detail, A recognised compliance qualification or working towards one.
