Join us at Barclays as a Credit Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for reviewing credit submissions, the production/issuance of Credit Documentation to the Relationship Managers/Private Banker/Solicitors for completion and then the “Fit to Lend” checks required before fulfilling the credit agreement.
Some essential skills you will need to be successful as a Credit Analyst are:
Fluency in English and first class written and verbal communication skills are a requirement of the position.
The role holder should have a strong financial background preferably within Credit.
They should have the ability to use Word for documentation production and a good working knowledge of Excel for spreadsheet work.
The role holder will have a minimum of five GCSEs (including English and Mathematics).
Some other highly valued skills are:
A strong level of computer literacy and have proficient keyboard skills as these are both essential skills for this role.
Some experience of coaching and training others would be advantageous as the role is to act as a support and coach to more junior members of the team.
Continuous improvement and change skills would also be desired.
Legal skills would be advantageous given the significant level of work with documentation.
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
