  • Kinley Legal

Kinley Legal is seeking a LAWYER (SOC 2413) to work in our busy legal practice across our specialist practice areas, which include Isle of Man immigration and British nationality work, private client matters including probate and estate planning, corporate and commercial work and public law litigation for private clients.

The successful applicant must be an Isle of Man advocate, a British or Irish solicitor, a Registered Legal Practitioner, or a Commonwealth, European or US lawyer entitled to register as a Registered Legal Practitioner in the Isle of Man. This role would suit a lawyer with 0 to 5 years’ PQE, or returning to practice after a career break.

The role will include:
managing a case load effectively and addressing client expectations;
supporting the firm’s other lawyers in the delivery of excellent service to clients;
advising clients on legal matters in person and online;
drawing up immigration applications, contracts, wills and other legal documents;
instructing advocates and external counsel in court matters, with an opportunity to represent clients in court where qualified to do so; and
undertaking legal research, scrutinising statements, reports and legal documents and preparing papers relevant to administrative applications and court proceedings.

Previous specific experience in our practice areas would be beneficial, but is not a requirement, as training will be provided. The role may suit a qualified lawyer without prior experience but keen to specialise in these challenging, varied and rewarding practice areas.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a private client legal practice environment, together with strong online and Microsoft Office skills and excellent English. An international outlook and foreign language skills would be beneficial.

This is a full-time role based upon a 37.5 hour working week, which will be primarily located in our central Douglas office. Flexible and remote working may be available, primarily within normal office hours, with hours to be agreed with management.

The salary range for this role is GBP35,000 to GBP60,000, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Written applications, including a current CV and our application form, should be sent by email only to careers@kinleylegal.com by Friday 1 May 2026, with interviews taking place in person or online.
