We are currently seeking a dedicated Weekend Cook to join our team, reporting to the Registered Home Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented meals in a safe, clean, and hygienic kitchen environment. You will take into account residents’ individual dietary needs, preferences, and care plans, while using fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. The role also involves maintaining high standards of food hygiene and health and safety compliance, keeping accurate temperature records, and ensuring all kitchen areas and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained. You will support a positive dining experience for residents, assist with special events, and work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth and professional mealtimes. In addition, you may help guide less experienced staff, attend training and meetings, and carry out other reasonable duties as required.
