About the Role
We are looking for a full time, reliable, and detail, oriented Accounts Assistant to support the day to day financial operations of our business. The role includes managing supplier payments, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and assisting with a range of administrative duties across the finance function. You will be part of a busy and collaborative team, contributing to accurate financial processing and ensuring a smooth operational workflow.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage accounts payable processes, including processing supplier, subcontractor, and employee payments, handling incoming invoices such as utilities and rentals, preparing recharge invoices where required, and completing regular payment runs to ensure suppliers are paid on time. You will also be responsible for posting daily bank transactions, reconciling bank accounts, supporting the month?end close process, and assisting with audit preparation by completing reconciliations and corrections.
Your financial administration duties will include monitoring shared finance inboxes, responding to queries, maintaining accurate records and spreadsheets, processing company credit card transactions, and ensuring all supporting documentation is collected. You will also assist with vehicle related administration such as fuel cards and regulatory renewals, and help manage expenses, holiday records, and routine internal submissions.
In addition, you will support general office administration by maintaining organised digital and paper filing systems, preparing routine statements and reports, assisting with scheduling and operational tasks, and answering incoming calls.
About You
You will have experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping, or a similar finance role, and you will be confident using accounting software such as Sage or an equivalent system. You should bring strong numerical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively within a busy environment. You will also maintain a positive, professional attitude in your day to day work, demonstrate a can do mindset, and enjoy working collaboratively within a small team.
