Trainee Transport Planner

Manx Independent Carriers are looking for a trainee planner to join their transport department.
Full training will be given to the successful candidate and they will support the team with the below duties
• Plan and coordinate daily transport operations to ensure timely and cost
effective deliveries
• Provide accurate transport quotes to customers based on route, load type, and
service level
• Allocate vehicles and drivers based on delivery schedules, load requirements,
and legal constraints.
• Liaise with customers, drivers, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth
communication and service delivery.
• Use transport management systems optimise routing and scheduling.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong communication skills for dealing with drivers, clients, and internal
teams.
• Office-based role, typically Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work
