Head of Compliance – AstroPay Global (IOM) Limited.
The role in a nutshell: Senior compliance leader for the Isle of Man entity, holding the R13 Controlled Function. Reports directly to the Board and Group CCO, operating with significant independence.
What matters most:
Core responsibilities:
R13 Controlled Function holder before the local regulator (IOMFSA).
Own the full compliance framework under the Class 8 licence (payments/e-money).
Supervise the MLRO and lead the IOM compliance team.
Primary point of contact with the IOMFSA.
Build and maintain policies, procedures, and the Compliance Monitoring Program.
Board-level reporting and regulatory submissions.
Required profile:
5+ years in financial services compliance, in a senior role.
Deep knowledge of Isle of Man regulatory framework (FSA 2008, Rule Book 2016, AML/CFT).
Hands-on experience dealing directly with regulators.
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ICA Diploma).
FinTech, payments, or e-money background highly desirable.
First 6 months focus:
Audit the existing compliance framework, identify gaps, and build an improvement roadmap.
Establish strong relationships with IOMFSA, the Board, and key internal stakeholders.
Nice to haves:
Multi-jurisdiction compliance experience.
Compliance tech / data analytics exposure.
Spanish language skills.
