The Second Chef will support the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations, preparing and cooking Indian curries, starters and side dishes, and managing the tandoori section, including tandoori meats, kebabs and naan breads. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, maintaining consistent food quality and presentation, following food hygiene and allergen procedures, monitoring stock, minimising waste and keeping the kitchen clean and organised. The successful candidate should have good knowledge of Indian cuisine and experience working with a tandoor oven, and be able to oversee the kitchen when the Head Chef is absent.
