Head Chef

We are looking for an experienced, passionate and hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen at Padel Park Eatery, located in Nobles Park, Douglas, alongside Manx Padel, the Island's first dedicated padel club. We currently serve breakfast, brunch and lunch, with plans to expand into evening dining and additional events as the business grows.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the kitchen, preparing and delivering high-quality meals, maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation, and developing creative menus, seasonal specials and new dishes. Responsibilities will include leading, training and supervising kitchen staff, managing food preparation and service, ordering and stock control, supplier relationships, food costing, portion control and minimising waste. The Head Chef will also ensure compliance with food hygiene, allergen management, health and safety standards, and work closely with management to develop future evening dining menus and support catering for tournaments, private functions and events.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years' professional chef experience in a commercial kitchen, with previous experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef or senior chef with kitchen leadership responsibilities. Strong culinary skills, menu development experience, kitchen management abilities and a sound understanding of food safety are essential. We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, creative and confident leading a kitchen team, with the ability to maintain high standards during busy service periods. Flexibility to work weekends and future evening shifts is required.
