A white lining machine foreman is responsible for overseeing the application of road markings, ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance with project specifications and regulations. This includes managing a team of operatives, coordinating with site managers and clients, inspecting materials and equipment, and ensuring that the machine is maintained and operated correctly. They must monitor work progress, report issues, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met while prioritizing safety procedures at all times.
The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret site plans and technical drawings. The foreman should possess knowledge of road marking techniques, thermoplastic application, and traffic management procedures.
Experience operating white lining machinery is essential, along with prior supervisory experience on roadwork or highway maintenance projects. A full driving license.
