Facilities Manager

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the strategic and day-to-day management of buildings, infrastructure, and associated services to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all sites. The role encompasses building surveying, asset management, asbestos control, fire risk management, statutory and service compliance, and operational health & safety, while ensuring that facilities are maintained to the highest standards in line with legislation, best practice, and organisational needs.

Key Responsibilities includes undertaking Condition Surveying & overseeing Estate Maintenance ensuring service conformance. To maintain and update Asset Register and replacement. To act as responsible person ensuring Asbestos registers and management plan is up to date. To oversee Fire Risk Assessments and actions identified are implemented. Ensure Service Compliance of statutory inspections and testing is complete and recorded. Ensure the workplace meets all Operational Health & Safety requirements. To lead, motivate and develop staff to build on skills diversity and support management of budgets, expenditure and cost saving opportunities.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience include proven experience in facilities management within a multi-site or complex estate environments. Knowledge of building surveying, asset management, and lifecycle planning. Demonstrable experience in asbestos management, fire safety, and statutory compliance. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent). Strong contractor management and procurement skills. Excellent communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
