Essential:
3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) to include English at grade C or above.
Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organisational and administrative skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information confidentiality.
Good attention to detail and relevant problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well in a small team and build positive working relationships.
Self-motivate, proactive and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

Desirable:
Previous experience in an HR role.
CIPD membership.
Experience of local government.
An understanding of the operations and functions of a local authority.
Political sensitivity.
