Our client is seeking a Contract Accountant to support their Accounts Team in addressing key legacy and compliance-related tasks for 3 months. This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with internal policies. Key Responsibilities: Review and reconcile multi-currency ledger balances. Identify and resolve mismatches between ledgers and currencies. Liaise with the Accounts Team to validate entries and ensure system alignment. Document findings and propose corrective actions. Investigate and resolve aged items on the balance sheet, including unidentified balances and legacy accruals. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate balances and process necessary adjustments. Support the preparation of reconciliations and audit-ready documentation. Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within a multinational or shared services environment. Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations. Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or relevant accounting diploma would be preferred. Experience and familiarity with multi-currency accounting and ERP systems. Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills. Strong communication skills, including confidence in conducting follow-ups and updating management. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools would be beneficial.
