An experienced and competent professional is required to act as the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for a licensed gambling operator.
Based on the Isle of Man, this fractional (part-time) position supports the group compliance function, ensuring AML/CFT controls are effective, proportionate, and aligned with Curaçao regulations, FATF Recommendations, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the appointed MLRO under Curaçao AML/CFT laws and licence conditions.
Implement, oversee, and manage the AML/CFT framework.
Review and assess suspicious transactions, filing STRs/SARs where appropriate.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders.
Advise on customer due diligence (CDD/EDD), risk assessments, and internal controls.
Prepare compliance reports and participate in audits or inspections.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ AML/CFT compliance experience (iGaming, fintech, or financial services).
Strong knowledge of AML regulations, sanctions, PEP screening, and CDD/EDD processes.
Proven experience filing STRs/SARs and liaising with regulators.
ICA Diploma in AML or equivalent qualification (desirable).
Terms:
Fractional role: 8–20 hours per month (flexible schedule).
Remote position, with occasional travel if required.
Retainer or hourly rate negotiable depending on experience and scope.
