Practice Manager

About Us:
Peel Group Practice is a friendly, patient-focused NHS GP surgery providing high-quality care to our local community. With a strong commitment to clinical excellence, staff wellbeing, and continuous improvement, we pride ourselves on being a supportive and innovative place to work.
We are a three-partner practice serving 9250 patients, with a skilled multidisciplinary team including GPs, Nurses, Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, HCAs, Pharmacy Technician, and administrative staff. We work closely with our Manx Care and wider health system partners to deliver outstanding care.
Role Summary:
As Practice Manager, you will lead the operational management of the Practice and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning. You’ll be responsible for strategic planning, HR, finance, patient services, compliance, and implementing changes in line with Manx Care policy and local needs.
Key responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and effective management across all areas of the Practice.
Oversee HR and staffing, including recruitment, training, and performance management – with the assistance of the practice support officer.
Manage Practice finances, budgets, and reporting.
Ensure compliance with local CQC, Health & Safety, GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks.
Optimise use of clinical systems and digital tools.
Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, patient experience, and staff wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For:
Proven leadership and management experience (ideally in Primary Care or healthcare).
Strong business and financial acumen.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
Working knowledge of NHS structures and policies (desirable).
A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving and innovation.
