We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, driven and highly motivated individual to join our accounts team. The individual must be diligent, well spoken, well
organised and possess a knowledge of IT systems including Microsoft Excel. Experience or knowledge of accounting software. The position would be ideally suited to a person with Accounting Technician or higher qualification. Applicants must be able to work under their own initiative and to strict deadlines, be logical in thinking, a team player and have an ability to solve problems. Flexible working or part time hours are available depending on the candidate.
Duties and responsibilities include posting of sales & purchase ledger transactions into Sage accounts software for clients, reconciliation of business bank accounts, and identifying discrepancies, updating software with client details, correspondence with HMRC and Companies House with regards to client company details, preparation and submission of Client VAT returns using Sage accounting software, preparing and submitting monthly payroll through Sage software monthly and reporting to clients & HMRC, answering the telephone to clients, responding to queries and ensuring good client relationships are maintained, monitoring various spreadsheets and deadlines to all ensure all deadlines are met, preparation & submission of financial statements and management accounts, various other tasks as required by the needs of the business.
