We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for a Part-Time Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer to provide high-quality support to the Commissioners, ratepayers and residents of Jurby. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal, bookkeeping/accountancy and administrative skills, who is able to work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role.
Excellent communication skills are essential, together with a high level of discretion and impartiality. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines. Knowledge of local authority functions, operations and responsibilities, along with an understanding of the geography of the wider Parish of Jurby, would be an advantage.
This is a varied and interesting standalone position based at Jurby Parish Hall. Reporting to the Chairman and the Board of Commissioners, the post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative.
The position is part-time, for 12 hours per week. Hours may be worked flexibly and will include attendance at meetings and events during evenings and weekends, as required.
