Restaurant Assistant

Vibe Plant Based Café & Restaurant is looking for an experienced, confident, and people-focused Restaurant Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a daytime position working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30am until around 3:30pm, with finishing times occasionally slightly earlier or later depending on how busy service is.

As a small independent café-restaurant, this is a multipurpose role that requires someone who can comfortably support all aspects of front of house service. You will be welcoming and seating customers, managing tables during busy periods, taking orders confidently, processing payments, and answering the phone to deal with enquiries. The role also includes making barista-style hot drinks using our coffee machine, preparing smoothies, promoting daily specials, and helping to create a warm, relaxed atmosphere where customers feel looked after and valued.

This position also comes with responsibility, as you will be opening up the restaurant in the morning and closing down after the lunch shift, ensuring everything is cleaned, organised, stocked, and fully prepared ready for the evening service. We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping the space running smoothly and maintaining high standards throughout the day.

We are seeking someone who is naturally friendly, reliable, and enjoys building genuine relationships with our customers and regulars. Excellent customer service is essential, as you will be representing the face of Vibe and helping to deliver the positive experience we are known for. Previous hospitality experience is required, and you should feel confident working in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across a variety of duties.

Vibe is all about good vibes, natural wellness, and delicious plant-based eating, so while being vegan or plant-based is not essential, an interest in our ethos and values is important. We are looking for someone who can proudly represent the business and enjoy talking to customers about what we offer and the benefits of eating and drinking plant-based at Vibe.

Applicants must be aged 18 or over due to alcohol being served in the restaurant. This position needs to be filled by the beginning of March.
