You are responsible for greeting and assisting customers by helping them find products, answering their questions, and offering guidance throughout their visit. Your role includes operating the till or POS system to process cash, card, and digital payments accurately, as well as upselling and cross?selling by suggesting complementary products to increase sales. also receiving deliveries by checking quantities, inspecting items for damage, and signing off on shipments. In addition, restock shelves to ensure products are available, tidy, and correctly priced, manage stock rotation to keep older items at the front and monitor expiry dates, and participate in regular inventory counts. Maintaining the store’s appearance is also a key part of work, which involves keeping the shop clean through sweeping and dusting, arranging merchandise displays to attract customers and highlight promotions, and checking safety standards to ensure aisles are clear and equipment is safe.
