We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Part Qualified Accountant to join our finance at Prospero Group. As a Part Qualified Accountant you will gain valuable hands on experience in financial operations within the facilities management industry.
Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts within agreed deadlines, support the preparation of individual and consolidated financial statements, and assist with external audit queries to ensure timely resolution. Prepare quarterly VAT/GST returns for the Isle of Man and Jersey, and support payroll processing across the UK, Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey. Assist with employer returns and statutory submissions across multiple jurisdictions, upload electronic payment files and process financial transactions, and maintain accurate bank and credit card records including reconciliations. Support invoicing through review of charge-out sheets and the sales ledger, ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices and applicable tax rates, and respond to customer and supplier queries via phone and shared inbox. Assist with customer contract preparation and renewals, and provide financial information for insurance renewals.
Knowledge, Experience and skills: Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, along with excellent numeracy and overall computer proficiency. The role requires strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy, as well as effective time management and the ability to meet deadlines. A working knowledge of accounting software would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates should be part-qualified or willing to study towards an ACCA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
