Our client seeks a hardworking and proactive Asset Services Manager to join their team for a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will drive team development, support training initiatives, and ensure high-quality operational delivery. The Asset Services function works collaboratively across the wider business to ensure processes meet all internal and regulatory requirements while delivering a seamless and efficient service to clients and intermediaries. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of excellent customer service, ensuring all clients receive a positive and professional experience. Facilitate team meetings and coordinate cross-functional projects. Monitor and assess team performance, providing coaching, development, and constructive feedback while addressing any issues promptly. Set team and departmental goals aligned to business objectives. Recruit and onboard new team members, managing cross-training to build operational capacity. Prepare and collate Management Information (MI) and perform quality control checks. Lead initiatives and projects aimed at improving efficiency and the overall client journey. Oversee operational processes including (but not limited to): dividends, asset transfers, asset setups, AML review requests, and corporate actions. Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the team. Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit teams, reviewing recommendations and supporting process and control enhancements. Ensure team compliance with internal procedures, regulatory guidelines, and operational controls. Demonstrate strong awareness of risk management frameworks and ensure timely identification and reporting of issues. Support wider business activities and teams as required. Key Skills & Experience: Strong organisational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to actively listen and take appropriate action where needed. Ability to create an inclusive and collaborative team environment. Confidence in making clear, decisive decisions and handling challenges proactively. Demonstrated ability to support and inspire a team with positive leadership. A mindset focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
