We are currently seeking a An Assistant Manager to join our busy General Accountancy Practice and Corporate Service Provider.
About the Role:
This role is ideal for a newly qualified accountant or someone with early post-qualification experience who is looking to broaden their expertise across general accountancy and trust services while developing managerial and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee a small team of up to five staff, reporting directly to a manager and/or Director.
Oversee and reviewing preparation of Isle of Man payroll for clients.
Manage and maintain strong client relationships across a varied portfolio.
Oversee client engagements from both the general accountancy and trust services business.
Ensure timely preparation and review of financial statements.
Oversee and review taxation and VAT returns and associated assessments.
Be involved in the administration of client companies, varying widely in size and complexity.
Organise, co-ordinate, and allocate work for junior staff.
Review work completed by junior team members and to provide guidance and feedback.
Assist with the supervision, training, and development of junior staff.
Participate in staff appraisals, internal training sessions, and management meetings.
Maintain regular and effective communication with Managers and Directors with all relevant client matters.
Ensure clients comply with firm and regulatory requirements, liaising with the Compliance team regarding due diligence and KYC documentation.
Always Represent CM Partners and CM Trust professionally in a managerial capacity.

Minimum Education and Experience:

Newly qualified ACCA or ACA, or up to two years’ post-qualification experience.
Practice trained would be beneficial.

Required Skills:
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to lead, supervise, and develop junior members of staff.
High levels of discretion, diplomacy, and professional confidence.
Keen to broaden experience across all aspects of general accountancy and trust services for high-value clients.
Audit experience is not required.
