The Operations Manager is responsible for the safe, compliant and efficient management of Manx Petroleum Limited’s operational activities, including terminal operations, fuel supply, logistics and supporting functions. This is a senior leadership role, accountable for the day-to-day running and continuous improvement of bulk fuel operations, aviation fuel supply, and island-wide distribution. The role ensures that all operational activity is conducted in line with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies, while maintaining high levels of safety, quality, and service delivery. The Operations Manager works closely with the Chief Executive, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to deliver operational excellence, manage risk, and support the ongoing development of the business. Essential candidate requirements: Proven experience in operations management within fuel, logistics, industrial, or similarly regulated environments. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements. Experience managing complex operational processes and multi-site activities. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Personal characteristics include: Strong leadership presence with a calm and decisive approach. Highly organised and detail-oriented with a focus on safety and compliance. Proactive and resilient, with the ability to manage operational challenges effectively. Excellent communicator with strong stakeholder management skills. Hands-on, practical, and solutions-focused. Desirable skills, experience and attributes: Experience in petroleum, energy, or aviation fuel operations. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relating to fuel storage and distribution.
