Ellan Vannin Home is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to support the Catering Manager and wider team in delivering high?quality, nutritious meals for our residents. This hands?on role involves independently preparing and cooking evening meals, as well as supporting the team with general food preparation.
You’ll help maintain excellent cleanliness and organisation across catering areas, carrying out routine and deep cleaning, using equipment safely, rotating stock, and washing and storing utensils. Following all food safety and COSHH guidelines is essential.
Success in this role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a warm, empathetic approach when interacting with our elderly residents. Shifts are 4 hours per day, 3pm–7pm, across 5 days per week.
