Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter

We are looking for a reliable Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter to join our small restaurant team in Douglas on a permanent part-time basis. The role is approximately 15–20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, primarily during weekday lunchtime service. Duties include plating food that has already been cooked and prepared, packing takeaway orders, slicing and portioning prepared food items, adding sauces and garnishes, washing plates, glasses, utensils and kitchen equipment, cleaning and sanitising kitchen work areas, emptying waste, restocking supplies and helping to keep the kitchen clean and organised during service. No formal qualifications or previous experience are required, although previous kitchen or kitchen porter experience would be an advantage. Applicants should be reliable, able to follow instructions, work efficiently during busy lunchtime service and maintain good standards of cleanliness and food hygiene. Applicants must be able to commit consistently to the Monday-to-Friday lunchtime working pattern on a long-term basis.
