Chef

We’re looking for chefs who takes pride in producing great food, enjoys working as part of a team and thrives in a busy kitchen environment. You’ll be working alongside our kitchen management team to help deliver the high-quality food that Smoky Sam’s is known for.

As a CDP or Sous Chef, you’ll be responsible for running your section to a high standard, preparing and cooking food consistently, maintaining excellent food hygiene and safety standards and helping to ensure every dish leaving the kitchen meets our expectations.

You’ll be expected to take responsibility for your section, including preparation, stock rotation, ordering and maintaining a clean and organised workstation. You’ll also help support junior members of the kitchen team, communicate effectively during service and work closely with the senior kitchen team to keep services running smoothly.

For the right person, this role can offer the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the business. We’re looking for someone who wants to develop their skills, is confident working under pressure and is willing to lead by example.

Previous professional kitchen experience is essential, with CDP or Sous Chef experience preferred. Experience working in a busy restaurant environment would be a strong advantage. BBQ experience isn’t essential, but a genuine passion for food and willingness to learn our style of cooking is a must.
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, organised and passionate about hospitality. You’ll need to be a strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to stay calm and focused during busy services.
