Kitchen Porter

As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll be an important part of keeping the kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our chefs and kitchen team to make sure everything is clean, organised and ready for service.
Your main responsibilities will include keeping the kitchen, equipment and work areas clean and tidy, washing dishes and kitchen equipment, helping with deliveries and putting stock away, keeping the pot wash area organised and supporting the chefs with general kitchen tasks when required. You’ll also help maintain our high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout the kitchen.
We’re looking for someone who is hardworking, reliable and takes pride in keeping things clean and organised. You’ll need to be comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment and able to work well as part of a team. Hospitality or kitchen experience is preferred but isn’t essential, as the right attitude and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
Smoky Sam’s can be a fast-paced environment, especially during busy services, so you’ll need to be able to work under pressure, keep a positive attitude and be willing to get stuck in wherever needed.
