Site Manager

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing projects from mobilisation through to completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required standards of quality and workmanship. The role will involve coordinating site activities, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams, managing site logistics and sequencing, conducting regular inspections and identifying and resolving risks or issues.
You will lead, motivate and support site teams and subcontractors, promoting a positive safety and performance culture while monitoring standards and identifying training and development needs. The role will also involve maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors and other stakeholders, ensuring project records are accurate and contractual, quality and regulatory requirements are met.
A key responsibility will be maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and compliance, including reviewing RAMS and permit-to-work documentation, supporting site audits and investigating incidents, near misses and non-conformances, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
About You
You will have demonstrable experience in a Site Management role, ideally within construction, facilities management, maintenance or an M&E environment. A strong interest in Mechanical & Electrical services, together with a willingness to develop your technical knowledge, would be advantageous.
You will have excellent organisational and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities across live projects. A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making is essential, together with the ability to work independently and recognise when issues need to be escalated.
Qualifications
A full Isle of Man or UK driving licence and IOSH Managing Safely certification are essential, along with a good understanding of Isle of Man health and safety requirements and construction regulations.
SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid at Work, a CSCS Manager/Supervisor Card, and relevant construction, civil engineering or building services qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent) are desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is also advantageous.
