Senior Drainage Technician

Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair drainage systems, including stormwater, sewer, and surface water systems.
Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify blockages, leaks, or system failures.
Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as jetters, CCTV drain cameras, and excavation tools.
Ensure all work complies with Isle of Man Health and Safety at Work legislation and environmental regulations.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and drainage plans.
Supervise and mentor junior technicians, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and site conditions.
Respond to emergency call-outs for drainage issues as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience as a Drainage Technician or similar role in drainage systems.
In-depth knowledge of drainage system installation, maintenance, and repair techniques.
Familiarity with Isle of Man Health and Safety at Work Etc. Act 1977 and environmental regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and drainage plans.
Valid driver’s license compliant with Isle of Man driving regulations.
Additional certifications such as Confined Space Entry, High-Pressure Water Jetting, or First Aid/CPR are a plus.
