We are seeking a Triage and Early Interventions Officer to join our Welfare Team. This is a new role at VSIOM which will include assessing and providing first-line support to individuals affected by crime and trauma.

Key Responsibilities:
Be the first point of contact for victims and witnesses of crime or other traumatic events.
Conduct needs assessments and provide early interventions/support.
Offer emotional support and safeguarding guidance.
Refer individuals to appropriate services (inc those provided by the VSIOM Team).
Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience of working with individuals in a victim support, social work, or crisis response role/setting.
Strong communication and active listening skills.
Understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and person-centred support.
Ability to work under pressure and manage sensitive situations.
Working confidentially.
Ability to work within a team.
Willingness to undertake training to grow knowledge and experience.
