Operations Director

The position holds single-point accountability for the G4S Isle of Man business. The primary purpose is to ensure the delivery of the business’s Profit and Loss (P&L) and growth targets in alignment with the established business plan. This role involves leading the Isle of Man Operational teams to achieve financial and operational objectives. The director will drive strategic customer relationships to enable retention and growth in key accounts, work closely with broader SSUK&I stakeholders to ensure compliance, alignment, and operational efficiencies, and contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s strategy as part of the Senior Management team. Previous Management: Prior management experience in a fast-paced multi-service business. Leadership: Must be accustomed to leading a diverse management team and able to manage performance and translate strategies and KPIs into workable goals and objectives. Financial Acumen: Proven P&L management ability with a prior track record of managing a multi-discipline business unit. Must be able to skilfully manage large £multi-million P&Ls, commercial contract/deal structuring, bottom-up budgets, expenses, forecasting, and capital investment schemes. Strategic Delivery: Proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing large projects to maximise business development opportunities and ensure high levels of operational security for clients. Education: Degree educated or equivalent relative to the position, along with a recognised management qualification. Must hold a full driving licence. Working out of hours / Commit to key fixed dates annually / Willing and able to travel of required Desired Attributes, Technical Education: Project Management experience (such as PRINCE 2). Expert communicator skilled at building deep knowledge of customer needs/drivers and developing solid, trusting relationships with key decision makers to identify opportunities for growth.
